Richard Valentin (1892-1916), fell at the Somme and Jean Valentin (1896-1916) at Verdun.

Division 84 - Memorial to the Czechs who died fighting for France

Part of a unique collection of large sculptures in divisions 84 and 88, all located along Avenue des Etrangers Morts Pour la France, and includes memorials to Greeks, Armenians, Russian, Poles, Italians, and Belgians who died fighting for France (mort pour la France).

Division 37 - Laurent de Gouvion Saint-Cyr (1764-1830)

Laurent Saint-Cyr served as Marshal of France, Minister of War, Ambassador to Spain, and Minister of the Marine. Sculpture by David d'Angers (1788-1856) in division 39; designed by Louis Visconti (1791-1853) in division 4.

Division 27 - Armand Joseph Bruat (1765-1839)

Named commander of the French fleet in the Black Sea during the Crimean War in 1854, Armand Bruat (1765-1839) died of cholera while at sea near Toulon in 1855. Sculpture by Hippolyte Maindron (1801-1884).

Emile's mother was the painter Anna Chataignier Cabibel.

Division 24 - Dominique Catherine, Comte et Marquis de Perignon (1756-1818)

Marshal of France and politician and supporter of Napoleon, Dominique Perignon eventually supported the restoration of the Bourbons and Louis XVIII. He also voted for the execution of Marshal Michel Ney (division 29). Bas-relief of military accouterments by Jean-Baptiste-Louis Plantar (1790-1879).
